Established in 1989, Real Estates is proud to specialise in residential Letting - we don't sell insurance or mortgages - we concentrate on what we do best, we are Letting experts. We do the occasional sale usually for existing Landlord's but these are very much the exception for us.

LOCATION

Our large, recently refurbished, double fronted office occupies a prominent position in the old market town of Redruth. The rugged north Cornish coastline with sandy beaches and wonderful surf is some 4 miles away at Portreath. The University and safe sailing waters of the south Cornish coastline are some 10 miles away at Falmouth. The county city of Truro with Cathedral, Treliske Hospital and College is also some 10 miles distant.

OUR PATCH

To maximise our efficiency, we concentrate our knowledge and expertise in this central part of Cornwall, limiting our professional activity in the Residential Letting's market to an area that is within roughly a thirty minute drive of Redruth - the towns of Perranporth, Truro, Falmouth, Helston and Hayle form the approximate perimeter of our "patch".

Within this area we manage the letting of many hundreds of properties including Studios, Flats, Maisonettes, Houses, Cottages and Bungalows. We have city properties, town properties, village properties, rural properties and coastal properties. We act for Landlords as far away as Australia and as close as Redruth. We have professional Landlords, investment Landlords, short-term Landlords and long-term Landlords.

We therefore feel confident that whatever your circumstances our service can satisfy your requirements.

PROFESSIONALISM

We pride ourselves on our professionalism but for your added peace of mind and complete protection, Real Estates is also a participating member of the National Association of Estate agents (NAEA), the Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA), the Clients Money Protection Scheme, the Property Ombudsman Scheme, the Tenancy Deposit Scheme and the Cornwall Residential Landlords Association. The extensive codes of practice and rules of conduct imposed by these institutions also include mandatory Professional Indemnity Insurance and an annual audit by Chartered Accountants of our clients account.

OPENING HOURS

Office opening hours are Monday to Friday 9.00 am – 5.30 pm and Saturday 9.00 am – 1.00 pm. Out of hours messages can always be left on the Answer Phone, Fax or Email.

WHO WE ARE

Real Estates (Cornwall) Limited trades as Real Estates with two directors and equal shareholders:

Ian Datson MNAEA. MARLA. Director

Ian is one of the founding partners of the company with over 30 years of experience in the property industry. He mainly deals with the accounts, rental valuations and viewings as well as specialising in solving problems. He also has an intimate knowledge of all things computerised.

Alec Massey FNAEA. MARLA. Director

Alec joined us in 1990 and has over 40 years of experience in the property industry but virtually no knowledge of computers! He also deals with rental valuations and viewings. He is now heading up our new Property Maintenance sister company and oversees the refurbishment of new and existing properties coming to the rental market.

Janet Spargo, Accounts Manager

Janet has been with us for over 12 years now. She mainly deals with enquiries, rent collection, accounts, organising repairs, gas safety certification, etc.

Rachel Leech, Administration Manager

with over 4 years experience. Rachel deals with enquiries, referencing, advertising, website updating, and general administration.
